  • In Japanese folklore, yokai are supernatural beings that can take on various forms, ranging from animals to monsters to ghosts. One type of yokai that is particularly well-known is the toad yokai, which is said to be a mischievous and cunning creature with the ability to shape shift.

Kuniyoshi was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting. Kuniyoshi's subjects include many genres: landscapes, beautiful women, Kabuki actors, cats, and mythical yokai. He is most-widely known for depictions of the battles of legendary samurai heroes.

This is a faithful reproduction of Utagawa Kuniyoshi's yokai woodblock print: Jiraya Fighting Orochimaru. You'll receive a heavyweight, giclée, acid-free print that's created to last for generations. The museum-quality paper works perfectly with large, full-color images. The lightly-textured, matte finish captures fine lines and subtle colors, resulting in stunning works of art (without unwanted reflections)

    • Printed using eco-friendly, water-based inks
    • FSC approved or sustainably-sourced paper
    • Frame and matting isn't included. Print only.
    • Shipped in a damage-proof artwork tube.
    • Premium-quality (200gsm) giclée, acid-free paper
