As a warrior, Morozumi Bungo no kami Masamori was known for his bravery and skill in battle. He fought in several major battles, including the Battle of Kawanakajima, where he distinguished himself in combat against the forces of Takeda Shingen, a rival daimyo.

Morozumi Bungo no kami Masamori was also known for his loyalty to his lord, Uesugi Kenshin. According to historical records, he once offered to cut off his own head and present it to Kenshin as a sign of his loyalty, but Kenshin refused the offer, saying that he would rather have Morozumi Bungo no kami Masamori's head on his shoulders.
