One of the most common depictions was as a symbol of perseverance and determination. This was often reflected in prints that showed the doll in a variety of poses, from sitting stoically to standing resolutely in the face of adversity. These images were often accompanied by phrases or proverbs that underscored the importance of never giving up and always striving for success.
