  • Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rimpoche, is a legendary figure in Buddhism who is considered to be one of the most important figures in the development of Tibetan Buddhism. He is often referred to as the "second Buddha" and is credited with introducing Tantric Buddhism to Tibet and establishing the first Buddhist monastery there. He is said to have arrived in Tibet in the 8th century and is believed to have subdued local deities and converted the people to Buddhism through his powerful tantric practices.

Padmasambhava's teachings and practices are still widely followed today, particularly in the Vajrayana tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. His teachings focus on the cultivation of spiritual powers and the attainment of enlightenment through the use of advanced tantric practices such as deity yoga, mantra recitation, and visualization.
